			Before the apocalypse, Harry lived a relatively ordinary life. He worked for a living and served as a union shop steward, earning a reputation for standing up for others and doing what he believed was right. Through this role, he developed a strong belief in community, solidarity, and the idea that people were strongest when they looked out for one another.

			When society collapsed, Harry spent the early years of the apocalypse surviving largely on his own. The experience taught him resilience, self-reliance, and the harsh realities of the new world. By the beginning of 2020, his travels had brought him to Chernarus, where the next chapter of his life would begin.

			Over the following months, Harry Churches began covertly forming a group that aligned with his new ideology, and by the beginning of 2026 Harry Churches was openly attacking the neutral groups of the south east for what he called "collaborationism." He was willing to indiscriminately fire on visitors when attacking community camps. The goal of his attacks was both to inspire the survivors to take action and eventually wipe out those who would not.


			On February 25th 2026, Harry killed a member of the [[Helping Hand]] in Pusta. The group had been attacking the [[Fireflies]] and cooperating with the [[Dark Carnival]], but the incident caused serious tension within the [[Fireflies]]. Many felt it was not Harry’s place to take such action, and some were already uneasy about his attacks on other neutral factions, including the [[Woodsmen]], with whom the [[Fireflies]] had recently made peace. As a result, Harry was expelled from Pusta and banned from returning.


			On March 1st 2026, a meeting was held to address the situation. Ed and Ida argued that Harry should remain banned from Pusta unless he agreed to stop attacking neutral groups. [[Irish]] firmly rejected this position. During the discussion, a Firefly recruit named Vyco accused [[Irish]] of violating the [[Fireflies]]’ rules of engagement. Concerned by Vyco's allegations, the other [[Fireflies]] asked [[Irish]] to lay down his weapons and submit to custody. [[Irish]] refused, threw his armband at Ed, and walked out, joining Harry in forming a new group with harsher methods.


			[[Bobs]] of the [[Black Sheep]] left a note for Harry, asking to speak with him, wary but curious, Harry Churches met with [[Bobs]] on March 13th 2026. It was the first time the two had been face to face since Harry almost killed him years earlier. Though neither man was brave enough to talk about what happened that day yet. [[Bobs]] and Harry talked, and Harry explained his perception of neutral groups. Not entirely convinced, but understanding, [[Bobs]] agreed to continue to meet with Harry, and though initially very tense, as the weeks passed by [[Bobs]] and Harry shared information and traded resources slowly rebuilding trust. Over time their friendship began to heal.


			On March 26th 2026, Harry engaged the [[Woodsmen]]. Hearing the gunfire, the [[Fireflies]] contacted him over the radio. Peterson, a Firefly who had previously served with Harry, expressed a desire to de-escalate tensions and requested a meeting. Harry agreed, and they arranged to meet at Bart’s Pond. Upon arrival, however, the meeting turned out to be an ambush. Although Peterson appeared to intend a peaceful discussion, Vyco stayed behind against orders and shot Harry in the leg.


			When Harry regained consciousness, he found himself restrained while Peterson and Vyco argued. As Harry worked to free himself, Vyco noticed and struck him with his rifle. Vyco justified his actions by citing the [[Fireflies]]’ warrant for Harry's arrest, and calling him dangerous. When Harry shouted that they would have to kill him to stop him, Peterson drew his weapon on Vyco and placed himself between the two men. Harry attempted to turn Peterson against Vyco by bringing up his past as a member of the [[Scribes]], but Peterson instead ordered Vyco to stand down. After a tense standoff, Vyco withdrew. Harry and Peterson then moved to a second meeting point, where they were joined by [[Irish]]. The three held a long, emotional discussion, each defending their actions and beliefs. Peterson appeared shaken and uncertain, saying he needed time to think. The meeting ended without resolution. Peterson left for Pusta still hoping for peace, but the incident only deepened Harry’s distrust of the [[Fireflies]].
