This article is a general overview of the DayzUnderground Wiki, answering the questions "Who?", "What?", "Why?", and "How?".
Goals
The primary aim of the DugWiki is to be the central hub for documenting the unique world that the players of DayzUnderground have built together. Much like DayzUnderground itself, the wiki is constantly evolving and thrives on collaboration and there's always room for improvement.
Historical
Many events that occur on DayzUnderground have echoing effects on the server even years later. The stories of old are mostly told to each other through creative writing on both our subreddit and on our Discord. The wiki aims to summarize this wealth of content into the specifics of what's happened: the who, what, when, and why.
Accessible
The main goal of the wiki is grandiose, documenting and preserving over a decade of shared history and world building is not an easy goal. We're doing this so that we can share it with the future members of our little DayZ community, as well as to give prospective members an insight into what we do here.
How it works
The DugWiki is maintained by the official DayzUnderground Wiki Team and its contributors. The contents are created by the community, for the community and are: articles are the cumulative effort of numerous volunteers. These volunteers create new articles, update existing ones, and otherwise keep striving to improve the wiki.
How you can help
The DugWiki is maintained by volunteers. Contributors are never too numerous, and help is always needed. If you feel capable of editing wiki pages, researching old lore, consider donating some of your time and energy to the community.
