Katarina Hanna Freeman, though most in Chernarus would come to know her as "Kate", came to the lands following an old friend of hers. Kate was an inquisitive soul and wanted to find answers to things she did not understand, which led her to seek answers on her own, being deemed untrustworthy by some. Her first quest was spying on the 506th to feed information to her friend George Luz, who was recovering from an almost fatal gunshot. This would enable Kate to be the public voice for what would be the Wanderers. A few short months later, once again with many questions that she sought answers to, Kate would abandon them and ultimately betray them. Now an ex-Wanderer, she spent her days patrolling around Altar where The Scribes frequented. She also spent a lot of time hanging out at St. Joseph's, befriending Toronto and The Love Ray. The Cult of Papa was surfacing and this angered Kate, with the rage slowly consuming her. She ended up killing Toronto because she felt the Cult had corrupted him (evidenced by frequent drug use to control voices) and also to save her friend Vriska (since Love Ray had told Kate the Cult was willing to kill Vriska so Toronto would owe them something.) With the rage building inside her, this killing also proved to Dark as Midnight that she was not weak. She soon became a Warboy for DAMN and began to fall in love with Doink Doink. They went on hunting trips together, which caused friction within DAMN. Kate would become pregnant and once Harvey found out Vigil knew about this before DAMN, he would order CJ to kill the unborn baby. This enraged Doink Doink and he tried fighting back against DAMN, which led to his death at the hands of Harvey, and Kate's death a few seconds after.
