The tale of "Dr. Dirty Dan", a title he bestowed upon himself, is a long and strange one riddled with mystery and question at every corner. Dan was a manipulator, using people for his own purpose with little to no regard for their well-being. He would eat the corpses of his murdered victims and soon became one of Chernarus’ most notorious killers. Dan had been hunted by many groups for his actions, including the Brotherhood, Saviors of Svetlojarsk, the Guardians, and many others. Mobs of groups and survivors called for Dan’s death due to the bloodshed he caused.

Origins

Dan started his descent into madness by murdering his mother at a young age in his childhood town of Rogovo, and then was sent to Gilligan’s Asylum north of Chernarus. Once the outbreak hit, Dan broke from the asylum and moved back south to his homeland.

Demeanor

Dan always told of a voice in his head he named ‘Daniel.’ He told people that this voice tricked him into doing the terrible things, and then convinced everyone that his ‘Dan’ side was a sensitive person who cared for everyone.

Actions

While this was happening he joined up with the Black Paw, causing much distrust towards the group. Dan was thought to be eventually cured of his madness by the Paws leader, Jack Gallow. Only a day later, General Crust of the Bridge Burners put an end to him...At least, for a short time. It wasn’t long before another psychopath from the same asylum Dan was held in recovered his body and took it to Dr. Gregor, The Grand Manipulator. Gregor revived Dan by some miracle, and injected him with his ‘Tea’ virus. Dan eventually went on to continue his murder spree, leaving nothing but bones behind him.

Gifted a fresh start, Dan formed his own band of vicious killers named the Gilligan Gang and spent his time leading them to the north east to conquer land. They fought groups like The Fire Keepers and The Guardians, and even forced the Saviors of Svetlojarsk out of the land entirely by killing one of their main members, Shakey. After terrorizing the northeast for many weeks, Dan and the Gilligan Gang went back to Rogovo to rule the city again with an iron fist. However, whether in a fit of rage or pleasure, Dan killed nearly all the Gilligan Gang as they slept one night and he ran off into the wilderness.

Where are they now?

Dan was eventually put down for good by Tex Rockwolf at an area known as The Patch, where he was buried in an unmarked grave. Was Dan lying the whole time about ‘Daniel’ being real? Was he even ever remorseful about any of the things he did? These are the things we will never know. He manipulated and used more people than any group had done in a long time. One thing is for sure, when Dan was around... people were afraid of the city of Rogovo.
