All of these phrases apply to '''Elise “Wisp” Saresh''', a woman who quickly found herself thrust into an age of strife within South Zagoria. Many knew her for work within the [[Coalition]], as well as her open services as a therapist. Her passion and resolve would lead her to make many allies, yet there were many who questioned her true intentions. She had previously held the profession of a social worker, often taking gigs in HR and small roles in counseling. Her travel to South Zagoria was motivated by a promise she had made to her first lover shortly before her death. Wanting to understand her partner’s homeland, she arranged for work in Severograd, before being displaced in transit upon the outbreak. It would take her another few years of travel by foot, until she finally reached her destination.

She preferred one-on-one conversations the most, enjoying their intimacy, but would not shy away from addressing crowds, in events such the Coalition Market and the Stary Yar Summit.


Wisp generally presented herself as calm, approachable, and attentive. She frequently attempted to establish common ground with others and preferred private conversations, although she was also willing to address larger gatherings such as the Northeast Market and Stary Yar Summit. She selected her words carefully and believed that people were more likely to cooperate or reveal useful information when they felt comfortable. At the [[House of Hope]], Wisp maintained an informal manner when assisting visitors, including injured or distressed survivors. During counseling sessions, she attempted to remain nonjudgmental and avoided openly favoring one group over another. Her demeanor became more focused when dealing with the [[Cult of Papa]], particularly as her investigation of the Cult expanded.


In her duties within the [[Coalition]] and the [[House of Hope]], Wisp would be fairly casual and relaxed, maintaining a calm atmosphere to the wounded and weary. In sessions with those seeking counseling or guidance, she would be warm, never displaying judgement, and adopt an unbiased stance. Contrastingly, in situations involving the Cult of Papa, she would almost “come to life”, displaying a focus and sharpness that meant she was giving her full attention.


Although Wisp valued honesty in her personal relationships, she also used deception when pursuing Coalition or personal objectives. Her methods included withholding information, spreading rumors, and forging notes or documents intended to influence other survivors. She regarded information as potentially dangerous and placed considerable importance on discretion. Wisp nevertheless treated promises as binding and was generally unwilling to break them once made. 


While Wisp valued honesty and care, she was not above lying. Adopting an almost accelerationist mindset, she would often forge notes and documents meant to further along both the Coalition’s and her own personal agendas. She believed that discretion outweighed everything else, that information had both the capacity to harm and turn tides. The only line she would never cross would be that of promises, which she held as sacred.

Wisp joined the [[Coalition]] during its first major recruitment wave alongside [[Pat]], Ophelia, and a volunteer known as X. She and Pat formally joined at approximately the same time, shortly after Joseph first appeared around the [[House of Hope]]. Wisp entered the organization seeking a stable home and a purpose within the developing settlement. Early in her membership, members of [[Dark as Midnight]] encountered Wisp alone at the House of Hope and subjected her to what they described as a self-defense lesson. They brought her away from the settlement, placed a DMR in her hands, and compelled her to kill a captive. They then gave her a sword and instructed her to mutilate the body.


When Wisp had first joined the [[Coalition]], she was still very naive, having never faced real conflict before. The trouble began one day at [[St. Joseph’s]], when Wisp curiously met a man named Joseph. He claimed that the camp and others like it were places of darkness, and attempted to pry info out of her regarding [[Greeny]], [[Ivy]], and [[Will]]. Wisp would later learn that Joseph had been working with both Greeny and Ivy in attempts to restore his memory, often being cryptic. A similar individual, going by the name of Gerald, was also an amnesiac trying to receive help from the Coalition. Gerald believed that he had a connection to the [[Lucky Bastards]], often stating how familiar Stary Yar felt, with hazy memories coming back to him.


The incident caused Wisp to temporarily avoid firearms and reconsider her ability to remain pacifistic. [[Gary]] later encouraged her to accept that complete pacifism was no longer practical under the conditions in South Zagoria. The Coalition's early investigation of the [[Cult of Papa]] involved two apparent amnesiacs known as Joseph and Gerald. Joseph attempted to gather information about [[Greeny]], [[Ivy]], and [[Will]], while Gerald claimed to possess fragmentary memories connecting him to Stary Yar and the [[Lucky Bastards]]. Gerald also used the name Alan during this period. Greeny, Ivy, and Wisp eventually accompanied Joseph and Gerald to Stary Yar in an attempt to recover Gerald's memories. Near the cliffside pub, they encountered [[Callum]], who was reciting material from ''Holy Is the Word'', a text associated with the Cult. Callum attempted to lead the group elsewhere, but Greeny and Ivy refused to follow him. The encounter then developed into an ambush.


Upon a chance encounter of Joseph and Gerald showing up together, Greeny, Ivy, and Wisp decided to accompany them up to Stary Yar, in an attempt to help with Gerald’s memories. The search was not very fruitful, however the group encountered a man named [[Calum]], around the cliffside pub. Calum, who had been openly chanting a prayer in ‘’Holy Is The Word’’ (a holy book of the Cult of Papa), goaded the group to follow him, which Greeny and Ivy refused. It was at this moment, that the trap was sprung, and these three mysterious men attempted to murder their captives. Joseph was killed by Calum, who was then put down by Ivy. Wisp killed Gerald, barely surviving. It was then later explained to her by Will that Gerald was [[Nameless]], a cultist who had been stalking him and [[Matt]] for years. The Cult’s goal that day was never explained, but it would not be the last time that they would try to inflict suffering upon Wisp and her comrades. For now, they went dormant once more, and this was when Wisp began wearing what would become her regular attire.

Later on, the Coalition would recruit [[Mamie]], a woman who had previously been a member of the Dugout and most recently the [[Fireflies]]. In seeking to move North for [[Ember]]’s sake, she wished to have past hostilities against her fade away. However, [[Dark as Midnight]] would not believe her clean break, accusing her of still being a spy for the Fireflies. To prove her innocence, she was charged with bringing back 5 ears, strung up on a cannibal knife. Mamie could not bring herself to openly murder any innocents, so Wisp, along with other members of the Coalition, sacrificed one of her ears to add to the collection. Mamie was able to prove herself to DAMN, however it would take a while for those affected to adjust to their hearing loss. A few months later, both Wisp and Greeny had new ears stitched onto them by [[Tedic]] of the [[Dark Carnival]], restoring their full senses of perception.

Greeny's decision to accept the risk without revealing Wisp's involvement caused her considerable guilt and reinforced her tendency to place herself at risk to protect others. When she had an agenda to push, she worked her best to weave it into a sympathetic, believable cause. These kinds of skills came most into play when the Coalition would run shadow campaigns against the [[Black Mountain Rangers]] and the [[HOST]]. Spreading rumors, planting notes, and convincing other groups to deny them service, was the way she would wage her battles. Other instances of her diplomatic tendencies would come in frequent clandestine meetings with the [[Grey Manes]] and the [[Merry Men]], in the attempt to form a Northeast Council charged with the welfare of that region of Chernarus. However, she would go out of her way to avoid ever entering a formal contract or arrangement when it came to information, believing them to often not end well. Events that Wisp took major roles in, such as the Coalition Market and the Stary Yar Summit, were orchestrated both to promote unity, but also serve as effective platforms to spread bias to the masses.

She adopted the mentality that shooting them was pointless - you’d only be furthering the inevitable outcome of the next batch showing up. She would not resist on occasions when she was captured, patiently enduring different torture techniques, learning individual cultist names and characteristics, understanding how each one ticked. Suppression was the main way she operated, whether it was through warning others or encouraging them to be vigilant.

On May 4, the Coalition hosted the '''Northeast Market''' at the [[House of Hope]]. Approximately fifty to sixty people attended. Wisp helped oversee the gathering, which was intended to promote trade and cooperation while potentially drawing the Cult into the open. During the market, members of the [[Black Mountain Rangers]] abducted and mutilated [[Delilah]] of [[HOST]] over HOST's relationship with the [[Forsaken Loyalists]]. Coalition members and the hired security force [[Rise Against]] detained the remaining Rangers and removed them from the gathering. Rangers later returned and attacked the House, killing several bystanders and damaging the settlement. Wisp subsequently coordinated with [[Rosco]], Delilah, and Rise Against during efforts to hold the Rangers responsible.


The death of [[Matt]] began the ticking of a doomsday clock, requiring 11 more sacrifices of those the cult considered “worthy”. It was here that Wisp began mobilizing, working her best to prevent any further deaths. She would travel far and wide, making contact with different groups and factions, warning them of the danger that was coming. Some did heed her call, while others simply dismissed her worries as mere superstition. Wisp would also lose herself within the works of [[Redstar]], listening to her tapes with an almost religious fervor. This obsession, this singular drive had the opposite effect, where groups like [[HOST]] began to suspect Wisp of being a cultist herself. She would have the chance to prove her conviction, shortly before her death.

Matt was not a Coalition member, but his death affected Wisp because of his previous experiences with the Cult and the advice he had given her. On June 16, Ivy returned to the House of Hope with [[Maybe]] after spending several months largely away from the Coalition. The Cult attacked less than twenty minutes after their arrival. Doc forced Greeny and Wisp away from the House at gunpoint while other survivors were incapacitated or scattered. When Coalition members returned, Ivy was missing. Vici later informed Greeny that she had been killed and identified her as the second sacrifice.

A Cultist approached the gathering with an unpinned grenade. Delilah opened fire, causing the grenade to detonate and killing [[Boom Boom]] of the Dark Carnival. A note found on the Cultist alleged that the Coalition was cooperating with the Cult. Although the attack confirmed the Cult's continued activity, the note reinforced existing suspicions of Wisp and the Coalition. The allegations contributed to a confrontation with HOST in which Greeny, Wisp, and Gary were wounded. Rosco critically wounded Wisp after concluding that she might be cooperating with the Cult.
The summit also intensified divisions within the Coalition. Maybe accused Wisp of working with the Cult, citing Wisp's repeated survival of Cult encounters and an occasion when Wisp wore Cult robes in Olsha while carrying her Coalition armband. Greeny rejected the accusation and pointed to Wisp's May abduction and torture as evidence that she remained a Cult target. Maybe subsequently prohibited Coalition members from entering Olsha and further separated [[Maybe Medical]] from the organization. On July 3, Greeny, Wisp, Gary, and Pat heard another broadcast from Vici. He addressed Greeny, Wisp, and Maybe individually, referred to Greeny's agreement to enter the Void, and suggested that the Cult could return Ivy. The broadcast demonstrated the Cult's continued effort to exploit the Coalition's internal divisions.

Blackthorn members disarmed the attendees before the Cult revealed its involvement and began selecting members of the congregation as sacrifices. Vici killed Gary during the initial executions.

Wisp would become allies with [[Rosco]] and [[Delilah]], the leaders of the [[HOST]], after a situation unfolded in which BMR abducted and wounded Delilah during the Coalition Market. Coordinating with the hired forces of [[Rise Against]], Wisp did her best to help Rosco seek justice. Over time, the Coalition became good friends with HOST, however this connection would be severed over time as the groups began to grow doubtful over each other. This resentment would culminate in Rosco critically wounding Wisp at the Stary Yar Summit, believing her to be in league with the Cult of Papa.  
Wisp became an ally of Rosco and [[Delilah]], the leaders of [[HOST]], after the Black Mountain Rangers abducted Delilah during the Northeast Market. Wisp coordinated with Rosco and [[Rise Against]] during the effort to hold the Rangers responsible. Relations between HOST and the Coalition later deteriorated as both groups became increasingly suspicious of one another. This distrust culminated after the Stary Yar Summit, when Rosco critically wounded Wisp because he believed she might be working with the Cult.

Of all the cultists that Wisp would encounter, it was Vici who became the most frequent. She would witness him from when he first showed up as a simple acolyte, to when he became a high lord, and when he went deep undercover underneath the persona of “Luc”. Vici enjoyed toying with her, promising horrible fates for those close to her. Eventually, after finding out that Wisp was responsible for the demise of Nameless, Vici would orchestrate the circumstances of her death, with the assistance of the [[Blackthorn Gang]]. He would also perish within the same hour.  
Vici was the Cultist whom Wisp encountered most frequently. She observed his advancement from an acolyte to a high-ranking member of the Cult, as well as his period operating undercover under the name '''Luc'''. Vici repeatedly threatened Wisp and people close to her.
 
 
After learning that Wisp had killed Nameless, Vici participated in her abduction and torture and helped arrange the circumstances that led to the Mogilevka Massacre. He killed Gary during the massacre and was himself killed when the surviving congregation resisted the Cult and Blackthorn Gang.

Wisp would form a sort of friendship with Trev, often conversing with him whenever Nattasha or [[Cob]] would go off to speak about private matters. The two would pick up on conversations with gaps lasting months in between. When Trev suffered a traumatic head injury leading to partial amnesia, Wisp took special concern in helping him with his recovery, against the wishes of Cob. She emphasized seeking individuality, rather than letting the others around him define his world.
Wisp developed a friendship with Trev through conversations that often occurred while Nattasha and [[Cob]] were occupied with private matters. Although the two sometimes went months without meeting, they resumed their discussions when they encountered one another again.
 
 
After Trev suffered a traumatic head injury and partial memory loss, Wisp assisted with his recovery despite Cob's objections. She encouraged Trev to develop an identity independent of how other people described his past.

His parting advice on how to deal with the Cult and still maintain one’s own sanity served as a way to anchor herself, and she would ultimately hold those lessons close to her heart. She promised that his death would not be in vain.

His murder on June 5 was identified as the first of the Cult's twelve sacrifices and prompted Wisp to expand her efforts to warn other organizations.

Lex was a resident of [[Bedtime]]’s community camp at Nizhnoye, often dealing with countless threats daily. Wisp made it her mission to help Bean remember her past self, working to connect her with the people of the past, while also guiding her to find harmony in her current life, even if it would anger the other clowns.  
Wisp knew Bean before she joined the Dark Carnival, when she was known as Lex and lived at [[Bedtime]]'s community camp in Nizhnoye. Wisp attempted to help Bean remember her earlier life and reconnect with people she had previously known. She also encouraged Bean to reconcile her former identity with her position in the Carnival, despite objections from other members of the group.

At the time, Kajia was one of the Keepers of [[Eclipse]], and would bond with Wisp after the events of the Stary Yar Summit. She would offer refuge in the South, away from the troubles of the North, even setting aside a dwelling for her and Nattasha. Kajia would provide a sense of warmth, that there was light to be found in any corner of South Zagoria.  
Kajia was one of the Keepers of [[Eclipse]] when she became close to Wisp following the Stary Yar Summit. She offered Wisp and Nattasha refuge in the South and reserved a dwelling for them. The offer provided Wisp with a possible alternative to remaining in the increasingly divided Coalition.

Wisp first met Big Dave shortly after Mamie joined the Coalition, finding a shared interest in [[Ember]]’s projects. He would quickly become a trusted friend, and this trust would only grow when he joined the Merry Men. He was the first person Wisp turned to when she was briefly being extorted for information by the [[Forsaken Loyalists]].  
Wisp met Big Dave shortly after Mamie joined the Coalition and connected with him through their mutual interest in [[Ember]]'s projects. Their relationship became closer after Dave joined the Merry Men. Wisp contacted him when members of the [[Forsaken Loyalists]] briefly attempted to extort information from her.

Desperate for any leads, Wisp attended the sermon held by [[Father Abraham]], after he had sent a summons to the Coalition and other groups. There, the Cult of Papa revealed themselves to have been puppeteering Abraham, and began to carry out their remaining sacrifices. When it finally came to Wisp’s turn, [[Forest]] offered to take her place, which Wisp denied.
Wisp's death at Mogilevka was one of several losses that brought the Coalition's principal activities to an end. Gary was killed during the same event, while Ivy had been murdered little more than a month earlier. The loss of three prominent members left the organization without much of the leadership and personal network that had supported its diplomacy, public events, and Cult investigation.
 
 
The Cult made their final offer: join or die. Wisp simply had one word for them: Never. Thus, she was gunned down, joining the total count as the seventh sacrifice.  




A private funeral was held for her near the House of Hope, with Coalition and close friends in attendance. She rests now in the Northeast, the home she had come to love.
On August 3, the surviving Coalition members held a symbolic burial for Wisp at a rock outcropping north of the [[House of Hope]]. Greeny had previously used the location as a place of solitude. The site became the Coalition's principal memorial to Wisp.

Elise "Wisp" Saresh was a member and eventual second-in-command of the Coalition. She was known for providing counseling through her independent practice, Wellness With Wisp, and for her involvement in the Coalition's diplomatic and intelligence-gathering activities. After surviving the Stary Yar incident and killing the Cultist Nameless, Wisp became closely involved in investigating the Cult of Papa. Her work made her a recurring target of the Cult and contributed to the suspicion directed toward her by other survivors. She was killed during the Mogilevka Massacre after refusing to allow another attendee to die in her place.

Appearance

Wisp commonly concealed the scars on her face beneath a grey shemagh, white ski mask, and blue sports goggles. She was more willing to uncover her face around people she trusted. Her usual clothing also included a patrol jacket, torn jeans, and a leg holster containing an MK II pistol that she named Nameless after the Cultist she had killed.

Origins

Wisp rarely discussed her life before arriving in Chernarus and shared most details only with close confidants. She had previously worked as a social worker and had experience in human resources and counseling. Her decision to travel to South Zagoria followed a promise made to her first partner shortly before her partner's death. Seeking to understand her partner's homeland, Wisp arranged employment in Severograd but was displaced during the outbreak. She reached South Zagoria after several years of travel on foot.

Demeanor

Wisp generally presented herself as calm, approachable, and attentive. She frequently attempted to establish common ground with others and preferred private conversations, although she was also willing to address larger gatherings such as the Northeast Market and Stary Yar Summit. She selected her words carefully and believed that people were more likely to cooperate or reveal useful information when they felt comfortable. At the House of Hope, Wisp maintained an informal manner when assisting visitors, including injured or distressed survivors. During counseling sessions, she attempted to remain nonjudgmental and avoided openly favoring one group over another. Her demeanor became more focused when dealing with the Cult of Papa, particularly as her investigation of the Cult expanded.


Although Wisp valued honesty in her personal relationships, she also used deception when pursuing Coalition or personal objectives. Her methods included withholding information, spreading rumors, and forging notes or documents intended to influence other survivors. She regarded information as potentially dangerous and placed considerable importance on discretion. Wisp nevertheless treated promises as binding and was generally unwilling to break them once made.

Actions

Early Coalition Membership (Late 2024 to Early 2025)

Wisp joined the Coalition during its first major recruitment wave alongside Pat, Ophelia, and a volunteer known as X. She and Pat formally joined at approximately the same time, shortly after Joseph first appeared around the House of Hope. Wisp entered the organization seeking a stable home and a purpose within the developing settlement. Early in her membership, members of Dark as Midnight encountered Wisp alone at the House of Hope and subjected her to what they described as a self-defense lesson. They brought her away from the settlement, placed a DMR in her hands, and compelled her to kill a captive. They then gave her a sword and instructed her to mutilate the body.

The incident caused Wisp to temporarily avoid firearms and reconsider her ability to remain pacifistic. Gary later encouraged her to accept that complete pacifism was no longer practical under the conditions in South Zagoria. She subsequently resumed carrying weapons, although she generally continued to favor negotiation and information gathering over direct violence.


Stary Yar Incident (January 23, 2025)

The Coalition's early investigation of the Cult of Papa involved two apparent amnesiacs known as Joseph and Gerald. Joseph attempted to gather information about Greeny, Ivy, and Will, while Gerald claimed to possess fragmentary memories connecting him to Stary Yar and the Lucky Bastards. Gerald also used the name Alan during this period. Greeny, Ivy, and Wisp eventually accompanied Joseph and Gerald to Stary Yar in an attempt to recover Gerald's memories. Near the cliffside pub, they encountered Callum, who was reciting material from Holy Is the Word, a text associated with the Cult. Callum attempted to lead the group elsewhere, but Greeny and Ivy refused to follow him. The encounter then developed into an ambush.


Callum shot Joseph while attempting to attack the Coalition members and was subsequently killed by Ivy. Wisp fought Gerald and killed him, narrowly surviving the confrontation. The Coalition later established that Gerald and Alan were false identities used by Nameless, then-leader of the Cult of Papa. Will informed Wisp that Nameless had previously hunted him and Matt. Before the incident, Wisp had shown little interest in the Cult. After killing Nameless, she began documenting Cult activity and participating directly in the Coalition's investigation. Nameless's death also made Wisp, Greeny, and Ivy targets of the surviving Cultists. Wisp adopted much of her later regular attire following the incident.

Vici and the Renewed Cult Conflict (January 25 to February 5, 2025)

Shortly after Nameless's death, Vici appeared at the House of Hope and became involved in the Cult's conflict with the Coalition. Greeny and Ivy identified him as a possible Cult associate and ordered him to leave the settlement.


On February 5, following a Cult attack on the House, Vici demanded that Greeny identify the person responsible for killing Nameless. Greeny agreed to meet him without identifying Wisp, intending both to protect her and to gather information. Vici questioned Greeny and later shot him in the leg. Wisp, Ivy, Nattasha Petrov, and Will found Greeny afterward and helped him return to the House. Greeny's decision to accept the risk without revealing Wisp's involvement caused her considerable guilt and reinforced her tendency to place herself at risk to protect others. Vici later discovered that Wisp had killed Nameless and became one of her most persistent adversaries.

Prometheus Archives and the Ear Collection (Early 2025)

While Mamie was establishing the Prometheus Archives, Dark as Midnight accused her of remaining loyal to the Fireflies. Its members instructed Mamie to collect five human ears and place them on a cannibal knife as proof that she was no longer working for the Fireflies.


Mamie was unwilling to obtain the ears by killing or mutilating unwilling survivors. To prevent her from doing so, Greeny, Ivy, Wisp, and Nattasha each volunteered to have one ear removed. Mamie used the collection to satisfy Dark as Midnight's demand. Wisp and Greeny later received transplanted ears from Tedic of the Dark Carnival, restoring their hearing.

Therapy and Regional Activity (March to June 2025)

Following the Gary Games, Wisp established a counseling practice titled Wellness With Wisp. The practice accepted survivors regardless of organizational affiliation. Wisp initially used some sessions to learn about conditions within other groups, gather potentially relevant information, and assess whether clients had been influenced or infiltrated by the Cult of Papa. Over time, Wisp became increasingly invested in the welfare of her clients rather than treating the practice primarily as an intelligence source. Her clients included Bean of the Dark Carnival, Doris of the Merry Men, and Trev of the Golden Peppers, whom she assisted following a head injury and partial memory loss. She discontinued the practice after the Stary Yar Summit.


Wisp also participated in the Coalition's diplomatic and political activities. She favored meetings, private negotiations, and attempts to shape public opinion over direct confrontation. At various points, she spread rumors, planted notes, and encouraged other organizations to deny services to groups that the Coalition considered threatening. She also represented the Coalition in private discussions with members of the Grey Manes and Merry Men concerning a proposed Northeast Council. Wisp avoided entering formal information-sharing agreements, believing that such arrangements could expose the Coalition or its sources. Public events such as the Northeast Market and Stary Yar Summit served both as attempts to encourage regional cooperation and as opportunities for the Coalition to influence wider opinion.

Northeast Market and Abduction (May 4 to 15, 2025)

On May 4, the Coalition hosted the Northeast Market at the House of Hope. Approximately fifty to sixty people attended. Wisp helped oversee the gathering, which was intended to promote trade and cooperation while potentially drawing the Cult into the open. During the market, members of the Black Mountain Rangers abducted and mutilated Delilah of HOST over HOST's relationship with the Forsaken Loyalists. Coalition members and the hired security force Rise Against detained the remaining Rangers and removed them from the gathering. Rangers later returned and attacked the House, killing several bystanders and damaging the settlement. Wisp subsequently coordinated with Rosco, Delilah, and Rise Against during efforts to hold the Rangers responsible.


On May 15, Vici and another Cultist known as Doc abducted Wisp. They restrained and repeatedly cut her before releasing her. Their immediate purpose was not established, although Wisp's killing of Nameless and continued investigation had made her a recurring Cult target.


Ivy's Death and the Twelve Sacrifices (June 5 to 24, 2025)

On June 5, the Cult killed Matt near the Outrider Caravan Company. Matt was not a Coalition member, but his death affected Wisp because of his previous experiences with the Cult and the advice he had given her. His death was later identified as the first in the Cult's campaign of twelve sacrifices. On June 16, Ivy returned to the House of Hope with Maybe after spending several months largely away from the Coalition. The Cult attacked less than twenty minutes after their arrival. Doc forced Greeny and Wisp away from the House at gunpoint while other survivors were incapacitated or scattered. When Coalition members returned, Ivy was missing. Vici later informed Greeny that she had been killed and identified her as the second sacrifice.


Ivy's death led the Coalition to treat the sacrifice campaign as a regional threat. On June 20, Greeny instructed members to contact other organizations and invite them to a summit at Stary Yar. On June 23, Wisp intercepted a broadcast in which Doc threatened Greeny, Wisp, and Maybe individually and claimed that the Coalition would be destroyed. Wisp also documented Cult activity that was later found to involve Father Abraham of the Blackthorn Gang.

Stary Yar Summit and Internal Fracture (June 28 to July 3, 2025)

On June 28, the Coalition hosted the Stary Yar Summit to coordinate information and opposition against the Cult. HOST provided security. The summit was also intended to provoke the Cult into exposing itself before organizations that remained skeptical of the Coalition's warnings.


A Cultist approached the gathering with an unpinned grenade. Delilah opened fire, causing the grenade to detonate and killing Boom Boom of the Dark Carnival. A note found on the Cultist alleged that the Coalition was cooperating with the Cult. Although the attack confirmed the Cult's continued activity, the note reinforced existing suspicions of Wisp and the Coalition. The allegations contributed to a confrontation with HOST in which Greeny, Wisp, and Gary were wounded. Rosco critically wounded Wisp after concluding that she might be cooperating with the Cult.


The summit also intensified divisions within the Coalition. Maybe accused Wisp of working with the Cult, citing Wisp's repeated survival of Cult encounters and an occasion when Wisp wore Cult robes in Olsha while carrying her Coalition armband. Greeny rejected the accusation and pointed to Wisp's May abduction and torture as evidence that she remained a Cult target. Maybe subsequently prohibited Coalition members from entering Olsha and further separated Maybe Medical from the organization. On July 3, Greeny, Wisp, Gary, and Pat heard another broadcast from Vici. He addressed Greeny, Wisp, and Maybe individually, referred to Greeny's agreement to enter the Void, and suggested that the Cult could return Ivy. The broadcast demonstrated the Cult's continued effort to exploit the Coalition's internal divisions.

Mogilevka Massacre (July 13 to 20, 2025)

On July 13, Father Abraham invited survivors to attend a church service in Mogilevka concerning a growing darkness in South Zagoria. Unknown to the Coalition, the Cult had recruited Abraham and encouraged him to establish credibility as a religious figure capable of attracting survivors without immediately raising suspicion.


Greeny was unable to attend and selected Wisp, Gary, Pat, and Maybe to represent the Coalition. The expected attendance of HOST and other organizations made the gathering appear legitimate. Neither Greeny nor the representatives knew that Abraham and members of the Blackthorn Gang were cooperating with the Cult. The service took place on July 20. Blackthorn members disarmed the attendees before the Cult revealed its involvement and began selecting members of the congregation as sacrifices. Vici killed Gary during the initial executions.


When Wisp was selected, Forest offered to take her place. Wisp refused to permit the substitution. The Cult then offered her the choice of joining or dying. She rejected the offer and was shot, becoming the seventh sacrifice recognized in the Cult's campaign. Pat and Maybe survived the massacre. The remaining attendees eventually resisted their captors, during which Vici, Doc, and additional Cultists were killed and the Blackthorn Gang lost control of the congregation.

Nattasha Petrov

Nattasha was Wisp's partner and closest confidante. They became close while undertaking excursions separate from the Coalition and investigating the Cult of Papa for their own reasons. Wisp also investigated rumors of a possible connection between Nattasha and Bog Petrov.


Nattasha promised to kill Wisp if the Cult ever corrupted her beyond recovery. Shortly before the Mogilevka Massacre, the two were considering leaving the Coalition and establishing a quieter life elsewhere. Nattasha departed the organization shortly after Wisp's death.

Greeny

Greeny served as Wisp's mentor and came to regard her as an adoptive daughter. Their relationship developed through their shared experiences with the Cult, and Wisp eventually became his second-in-command. Greeny trusted her with information about his former identity as Raphael. Like Nattasha, Wisp promised to kill Greeny if he became irreversibly corrupted by the Cult.


Greeny repeatedly placed himself at risk to protect Wisp, including withholding her identity from Vici after the death of Nameless. He also defended her against accusations of Cult involvement following the Stary Yar Summit. Greeny encouraged Wisp to remain with the Coalition when she considered leaving.

Pat

Pat and Wisp joined the Coalition during the same recruitment period and received their armbands in the same ceremony. They initially lived together before Wisp entered a relationship with Nattasha. Wisp nevertheless remained close to Pat and used their quieter conversations to regain perspective during periods of stress. Pat was present with Wisp at the Mogilevka Massacre and survived the event.
