The Forsaken Loyalists (officially: Forsaken Loyalist Motorcycle Club) are the remnants of the former Forsaken Motorcycle Club that evaded slaughter by the Cult of Papa; formed of members loyal to the older codes and ethics within the club that were abandoned in its final days. They believe that survival and interests of the club outweigh those of outsiders, but avoid senseless slaughter in the pursuit of their goals. They seek to restore their original business deals and territory, pursue revenge against their former adversaries, and re-establish themselves as the pre-eminent black market entity in South Zagoria.
Alignment
The Forsaken Loyalists embody the Lawful Evil archetype, methodically taking what they want within the limits of their strict code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. They see a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit; holding a twisted and machiavellian code of honor and respect, but lacking empathy or kindness. They care about tradition, loyalty and order, but have little concern for freedom or justice. They play by the rules, but without mercy or compassion. The club maintains a strict hierarchy, and its members are loath to break laws or promises.
Appearance
The Forsaken Loyalists can be identified by a lime green armband at all times. They specifically favor rider jackets, face masks, motorcycle helmets and baseball caps while actively avoiding gas Masks and cowboy hats due to their former association with Bravo and Johnny Rotten of the FMC.
Origins
The Forsaken Loyalists were initially formed from remnants of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, a notorious biker gang native to Chernarus and famous for their involvement in burgeoning arms smuggling operations in the region. The FMC’s callous and ruthlessly practical approach to business made them many enemies, but none among them would prove as significant as a cabal of insidious religious extremists known as the Cult of Papa; who would eventually capitalize on a period of weakness for the club, slaughtering them to the brink of collapse in a series of bloody battles. The scattered remnants of the FMC would eventually have their revenge on the Cult of Papa through the actions of its treasurer, a man named Caine “Devil” Altradoran, who was saved from the cult by the infamous apocalypse gang Dark as Midnight. Having eventually learned of Altradoran’s survival and massacre of the cult at Black Castle, survivors and fringe elements of the club were emboldened to return to Chernarus. Together, they vowed to remain true to the FMC’s original principles and restore its former glory, naming themselves “Forsaken Loyalists” to reflect this commitment.
Territory
Movement is life to the Forsaken Loyalists, and they are constantly on the road in search of new business opportunities. However, they maintain a watch over the former FMC-controlled towns of Nagornoe and Svergino.
Goals
The Forsaken Loyalists primarily aim to continually promote the interest of the club above all else, whilst ruthlessly suppressing the efforts of those who would wish ill upon it. As part of this commitment, they resolve to engage in any and all arrangements and transactions deemed beneficial to the club, regardless of the morality of the client in question. Not allowing themselves to grow idle complacent, they actively remain mobile by seeking out and fixing vehicles of all kinds. Most of all, they are motivated by revenge; swearing to hunt down any remaining members of the Cult of Papa, and ensure that their kind never return.
Values
The Forsaken Loyalists live by an old code regulating their behavior, and follow it to the letter. They obey authority, and resent chaos. They are brothers to a fault, and true to their own at the expense of all others. They show due respect for their own according to their rank, abilities, qualities and achievements. The survivors of the Cult’s massacre believe in showing allegiance to Altradoran and to the founders of the FMC, and actively seek to undermine those who have deserted the club in days gone by. However, as much as the club is a brotherhood, it is also a business entity. Its members are expected to show cunning, initiative and ruthless pragmatism in their pursuit of the club’s goals and expansion of its illicit trade network.
Loyalty - The Forsaken Loyalists are brothers to a fault, and true to their own at the expense of all others. They owe their allegiance to the founders of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, and actively seek to undermine those who have deserted the club in days gone by.
Honor - Despite their criminal nature, the Forsaken see themselves as honorable thieves. They are loath to break promises, tell lies, or use tactics they perceive as underhanded to gain the upper hand.
Enterprise - As much as they are a brotherhood, the Forsaken Loyalists are also a business entity. Its members are expected to show cunning, initiative and ruthless pragmatism in their pursuit of the club’s goals.
Discretion - The club has a strict code of silence, and expects utter discretion from its clients in turn.
History
I. Altradoran
Under the presidency of Altradoran, the Forsaken Loyalists aimed to restore the business deals of the FMC following their inception. Relations were restored with Dark as Midnight and the pre-eminent Pavlovo Trade Union as a matter of priority, with past business cited to obtain favorable terms with Draven Sanguine and Commander Polecat respectively. Due to their low numbers, the club initially utilized the territory of its clients as temporary bases of operation; providing protection for the strongholds at Gorka and Pavlovo in exchange for space to store and deal contraband. While operating in this manner, the club’s sergeant-at-arms Joe Fraser would notably encounter and apprehend an individual by the name of Damien White in the town of Gorka - a meeting that marked the beginning of an ill-fated alliance between Dark as Midnight and the mercenary group known as Torchwood.
Though the Forsaken Loyalists were now thriving in the lawless wastes, the president’s turbulent past would eventually catch up with him. While attempting to secure Redstar as an ally against a resurgent Cult of Papa, Altradoran and Joe Fraser were stumbled upon in Stary Yar by Shadow and Felix of Serdtse Volka, who Altradoran had betrayed months prior in his gambit to secure Andi Walker. Although forgiven by Redstar and Shadow for his transgression against them, Altradoran was later shot by a Rogue member of the Lucky Bastards in an incident that left him seriously wounded and presumed dead. Upon finding and burying the remains of Hamish “Irish” Church, who had been mauled to death by a bear while searching for the club’s lost president, Altradoran resolved to return to Chernarus and rejoin his brothers. He would not be welcomed back with open arms upon their eventual reunion, however, with Joe Fraser declaring him unfit for the presidency and kneecapping him as a punishment for his role in Hamish’s death.
II. Rix
Following Altradoran’s deposement, the club’s presidency would be assumed by another member Jonathan “Rix” Fletcher. Though possessed of a short temper and violent disposition, Rix possessed a quick wit and sharp business acumen that allowed him to steer the club deftly through a deteriorating political climate - brokering clandestine deals with key factions and using intimidation as a weapon to advance the club’s business interests. The Forsaken were now moving more material than ever before; capitalizing on key relationships with large organizations such as Rangers Chernarus and The 506th to distribute a staggering volume of weapons, ammunition and explosives to the highest bidder. However, such times were not to last forever. Faltering trade between the club and the 506th coincided with a mysterious raid on a Forsaken stash house in Zelenogorsk, for which the club suspected the involvement of their erstwhile host. Tensions would eventually boil over with the near-fatal shooting of “Blind” Blake Tirty by a Vigil member known as Miklo within the 506th-sponsored Camp Currahee. The affront caused to the Forsaken Loyalists brooked immediate hostility, with the club retaliating by recognising the Wanderer claim on Pustoshka and sponsoring several raids on Zelenogorsk, which were carried out in conjunction with the Enclave. Miklo was later expelled from the Vigil at the club’s demand, with the citizens of Bor issuing a public apology to the club via radio broadcast.
Unsatisfied by Vigil's apology, Rix would later admonish their leader Winslow Coltrane at the rocks above Svetlojarsk; warning that he would return their new camp, the Sanctuary, to the forest if they trespassed against the club again. An uneasy truce would take hold for weeks or months until Blake Tirty appeared alongside Zirka at Sanctuary, where the Wanderer child paraded a stolen DAMN armband. In an attempt to pit DAMN against the Forsaken, Shifty would forward this information to their leader Harvey, falsely insinuating that Blake may have been involved. This gambit would ultimately backfire, however, with Joe Fraser uncovering the source of the rumor after being reprimanded in Gorka and setting out to punish the Vigil for their attempted ruse. The Forsaken would eventually capture Shifty and Ted in a barn near the Dugout, holding them at gunpoint and demanding a fix the reputational damage Shifty had done. Only through negotiation by the Black Cross volunteer Herr Kurt and the opportune arrival of DAMN would disaster be averted; with the latter assuring the club that Shifty had retracted his accusation days earlier.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Forsaken Loyalists’ actions led to an immediate formal ban from Severograd, limiting their capacity to operate in the area. With no business interests remaining within the city limits, the club retaliated to their neighbors’ insult swiftly; contesting the nearby Black Cross-controlled town of Svergino under the pretext of reclaiming former FMC territory. In the following months, the Forsaken Loyalists would conduct an intensive campaign of violence and banditry in Svergino; shooting or robbing any Severograd citizens unlucky enough to be caught in the area. The club would respond in a typically cut-throat manner when various allies of the Black Cross including the Dugout, Fireflies and Sentinels came to their aid in defense of the town; engaging what they saw as meddling outsiders on sight, and even launching retaliatory attacks against their own territories. Though the town of Svergino was crucial to their mission, the Black Cross would eventually cave to relentless pressure from the club; ceding de facto control of the town to the Forsaken in exchange for safe passage, and later surrendering the town entirely.
Although disaster had narrowly been avoided in Severograd, it would not be long before the Vigil were once again in the firing line. Scarcely a month later, while conducting a raid on the radio tower fortress known as the Reclamation Zone, the Forsaken would uncover what appeared to be evidence of collusion between Winslow and their adversaries, The Scribes; a discovery that immediately set in motion plans to bomb the Vigil-owned sanctuary in Bor. Through convenient circumstances, the club would be joined in their attack by the Wanderers and Serdtse Stai, who were seeking justice for separate grievances. Several dozen grenades were detonated at the Sanctuary, with Ted taken hostage and later traded for Shifty and Winslow in Chernogorsk. Winslow was executed for his transgressions against the club by Joe Fraser but miraculously survived his injuries, while Shifty was cut loose.
III. Joe Fraser
Following the departure of Rix, the mantle of club president would be assumed by its Sergeant-at-Arms, Joe Fraser. Under his watchful gaze the club could afford to adopt a softer touch, with few clients daring to pay up late in the wake of Winslow’s disappearance. Making the most of a favorable trade climate, the Forsaken would profit from relationships new and old; moving a vast volume of nails, weapons, ammunition and explosives in and out of South Zagoria in the following months. Match-fixing and gambling pitches run alongside boxing promotions would also bolster the club’s income, leading to an unprecedented run of financial success. However, good times seldom last in South Zagoria. Worsened by the club’s predatory lending schemes, the trade balance of a fledgling trade organization named the Outrider Caravan Company (ORCC) would dip slowly into debt over a period of several months. Increasingly stern warnings would eventually turn into intimidation and violence as the Forsaken attempted to recover their investment, forcing the company’s leader Sam Finch to the negotiating table in a pre-arranged bilateral meeting. However, it would quickly become clear that negotiation was the last thing on his mind.
Suspecting foul play, Joe would send only a single prospect by the name of Vondra “Cookie” Fox to the ORCC trading post at Sosnovka, with instructions to bring Sam Finch to a secondary location. However, upon arrival she was taken hostage by ORCC and several Wanderers - who had planned to capture and kill Blake Tirty for his association with their former member turned-traitor, Zirka. After a radio conversation in which Joe refused to trade Blake for a prospect, Cookie would be shot by Nixon. The Forsaken would later consider this action to be the opening shot of a war with both the Wanderers and ORCC, which continues to yield bloodshed and suffering on both sides to this day.
Notable Members
Caine “Devil” Altradoran - Altradoran’s enterprise, cunning and ruthlessness previously saw the Forsaken Motorcycle Club grow to the pre-eminent black market entity in South Zagoria during his multi-year tenure. Later, his desire for revenge over the death of his former brothers later proved instrumental in Dark as Midnight’s betrayal of the Cult of Papa. Having forfeited his presidency of the Forsaken Loyalists after faking his death in Stary Yar, he works in the shadows to revive the FMC’s former glory.
“Silent” Joe Fraser - Formerly of the FMC, Joe Fraser was one of the first club men to heed Altradoran’s call to arms in the wake of the Cult massacre. Overseeing all of the Loyalists’ daily operations in his tenure as Sergeant-at-arms, he expanded their growing underground network of banditry, smuggling and illicit business. Assuming the presidency in the wake of Altradoran and Rix, his tenure has been characterised by brutal efficiency and a calculated, surgical approach.
Jonathan “Rix” Fletcher - As a member and later-president of the Forsaken, Rix is remembered for his hot temper and merciless persecution of the club's enemies. Steering the club in the wake of Altradoran's deposal, he masterminded the public and brutal reprisal of transgressors including the Vigil and Dugout, while cultivating key business relationships with the Wanderers and Regime.
“Blind” Blake Tirty - Though by no means a born criminal, the Australian earned his place in the upper echelons through grit and determination; eventually rising to the rank of Sergeant-at-arms. His logistical efficiency and shrewd deal-making have been instrumental to the club's success under Rix and Joe.
"Gungslinger" Roland Glovier - Serving as the club's tenured Vice President, Roland is a veteran of the Chernarus Defense League and FMC; acting as a moderating influence within the club with his wealth of experience. He continues to seek justice for the death of his wife, Chelsae Glovier - a task in which he has the club's unwavering support.
Vondra "Cookie" Fox - Cookie's gentle nature was ill-suited for a band of hardened criminals, and in turn would never truly feel at home among the Forsaken. After numerous perceived betrayals and a near-death experience at the hands of the Outrider Caravan Company, she would eventually begin working with Jake of the Wanderers in secret.
Relationships
While the Forsaken Loyalists stubbornly refuse to reveal the identities of their clientele, they show no such discretion for their enemies. Through their habit of airing their worst grievances for the world to hear, some of their most noteworthy past and present rivalries have been well-documented. When questioned as to who the MC's "allies" or "friends", members of the club will insist that they only have business relationships categorized based on what they can provide in monetary value to the club. The current state of their business relationships is never willingly divulged, but certain public events give hints as to the diversity of their clients.
Known Enemies
The Cult of Papa - Stemming from the massacre of the former FMC, the club's old enmity toward the cult runs deep and is unlikely to ever be forgotten.
The Black Cross & Dugout - Under the leadership of Rix, the Forsaken Loyalists publicly perpetrated several antagonising acts in Severograd, including a hostage situation involving Shifty and Ted of the Vigil. In the wake of their ban from the city, the club would contest the Black Cross for their ownership of Svergino - with significant bloodshed occurring before a resolution was eventually found.
Outrider Caravan Company - The Loyalists publicly allege that the Outrider Caravan Company accrued a significant debt during a period of investment by the club. Deciding they no longer wanted to pay his debts, they attempted and failed to set the club up for an ambush by the Wanderers and the 506th. The resulting conflict culminated in several large scale attacks in the region, as the club attempted to recuperate on their investment and kill Sam Finch to set an example. Following the disappearance of Sam Finch and many merchants of the caravan company, the conflict has mostly stagnated.
The Wanderers - Once suspected to be the Loyalists' main mercenary and information dealers, the two groups had a violent falling out after Blake Tirty's alleged dealings with Zirka. The two groups remain bitter adversaries to this day.
People of Tulga - The People of Tulga were publicly blacklisted by the club after an assault on one of their members, Vondra "Cookie" Fox.
