Overview
Year Founded: 2019
Status: Disbanded
The Islanders were a group of hardened criminals that were left to rot within the Prison of Storozh Island, The Islanders escaped, survived, and eventually came to control most of the coastal towns and cities of south western Chernarus.
Consumed by the eerie darkness that has overtaken the island, those who still call themselves Islanders now find a higher calling. Some call it revenge, others call it justice.
Alignment
The Islander way was what they made of it individually, but as a group they engaged in friendly relations with those they had no quarrel with or those they considered friends. Any who dared swim to Storozh were judged by the intentions they came with, those who showed hostility to the island and its inhabitants were forever marked until they found redemption.
Appearence
The Islanders could be identified at all times by their light gray armband with their white Cthulhu emblazoned on it. Members preferred darker water resistant clothing due to their swim to and from the island.
Origins
The Islanders were founded by Johann Baptiste, one of the many surviving convicts that claimed the prison as their home. Along with other members such as Lucky and Max. The group was originally made up of only prisoners from before the infection, they turned their former prison into a fortress against all external threats.
As time went on the group reached out to its neighbors in the southwest and in the town of Chernogorsk to expand their sphere of influence. Groups such as the Pavlovo Trade Union (PTU), The 506th, and other various groups would become at the very least familiar with The Islanders trade and lifestyle of debauchery.
Territory
Storozh
This location served as the headquarters and home of the Islanders after their escape at the beginning of the apocalypse. It housed a functioning yard for rituals or ceremonies, storage, and a meeting point for those who wished to meet the mysterious inhabitants. The prison itself could function as an independent fortress during sieges.
Kamenka/Komarovo/Balota
These three coastal towns allowed the Islanders to keep a buffer between them and their mainland neighbors, mainly the Pavlovo Trade Union, The 506th, The Rangers, and others. Commonly used to defeat enemies or watch the waters for unwanted visitors it was not uncommon to find Islanders patrolling these towns or setting out on an expedition for Chernogorsk.
Kim’s Crackhouse - Chernogorsk
Kim’s Crackhouse (Not pictured) was exactly what the name eludes too. A drug den on the banks of Chernogorsk that peddled to those seeking drugs as an escape from their real life world problems.
Goals
The Islanders main goal was to protect Storozh and influence those around them as well as some of the more criminal elements of trade such as gunrunning, smuggling, and drug production and distribution. To accomplish this they followed a specific set of values.
Values
- Protection: The Islanders swore to protect the island from any who would do it harm as well as protect their freedom.
- Distribution: The Islanders swore to destroy masses of wealth hoarded by others and distribute it among the less fortunate.
- Isolation: Due to their location and previous lives before the infection many of the Islanders maintained a somewhat secluded lifestyle unless on business.
- Freedom: The Islanders protected individual freedom and swore to keep tyranny from controlling their lives again.
